A vwe internet Mailing List Solution is a simple, cost-effective and reliable method of contacting all your internet ready customers or friends in one go without the headache of maintaining a large and ever changing recipient list in your client database.^*

vwe internet lists include remote management by the customer^** and come in two main flavours open or closed. Variations on them can also be arranged.

An open list will allow anyone who is subscribed to it to post messages to the list for distribution to the other list members. A member may also be able to see who else is subscribed to the list. However this depends on the list owner's privacy policy. Users can usually subscribe and unsubscribe from the list on demand with no intervention from the list owner/moderator.

This type of list is ideal for IRC channel operators who want to allow regular channel users to publicise their organised events and meets. Additionally operators may want to use it to advise users of channel policy changes and distribute other channel related information.

A closed/private list will only accept messages from pre-approved users for distribution to the other list members. A member is not usually able to see who else is subscribed to the list. Again this depends on the list owner's privacy policy. Users cannot subscribe to the list without first getting approval from the list owner/moderator, however they can usually unsubscribe at any time.

A closed list best suits companies or organisations who wish to control who has post access to the list and wants to keep the recipient list private.

vwe internet do not currently limit the number of subscribers to any particular list. However, we do reserve the right to review our charges for administrating lists with particularly high traffic volumes or subscribers.

^* Please note, all lists will require periodical maintenance to prune out old or invalid addresses. Fortunately this process can be semi automated. Please contact vwe internet for more details.
